The Devil's Backbone
I was moved to rent this book-end to Pan's Labyrinth, and it's excellent but scary. I have trouble with scary movies (i.e. I get scared). At some point quite early in the movie the object of fear shifts from the dead to the living, which is right.

Really need to see Backbone, but Labyrinth was just amazing - one of the best film's I've ever seen (alothough I can live a long, long time without seeing the bottle-to-face scene again).
I love films that scare... not in the relentless grinding terror of the recent crop of Texas Chainsaw types, but more in that uneasy feeling of dread - like the 1960's version of The Haunting... only film I had to switch off, tape the rest and go to bed :)
