Oh man! Have I missed this? I'd have loved top have seen it! do you know if there are any more performances?

Friday at... uh... some time. That's what they said, anyway. Maybe 4pm?

I enjoyed the experience, but Anchor said the play was not up to his standards. Well, I have to admit it was long and dull, but I liked the set changes (via holodeck, which has only been a word to me until last night). The sets fit into the theatre very neatly. That does not mean I was impressed, just that I now want to see more holodeck usage (Anchor says we wait for MONO).

Yeah, I've thought about holodeck for sets, but always assumed that the scripting used and lag would poor bedfellows make. Roll on (or out) Mono!

I have just never trusted that script-rezzed things will turn up on time, and have avoided that on purpose. We have always performed in very harsh circumstances.

And what I said (ages ago) was that after mono I would experiment. My hope (which may be in vain) is that there will be more juice for scripts if everything gets compiled in mono, even if the particular script wouldn't benefit a lot itself. Detectedtouch will probably help things a lot, too.

I dunno (obviously) - but it seems like if everyone's worn scripted gadgets are compiled to the mono vm and run more efficiently, maybe we could squeeze enough poop out of what's left to rez a freaking set.
But like everything it's great if it works, but when it doesn't it's a nightmare. Even the CURTAIN breaks sometimes. Even the very simple raise/lower set script fails.

By "everything" I don't mean everything, of course - as a lot of people just won't, however you'd think a lot would. Well, I hope.

Common concensus now is that it will free up resources that will immediately be pounced upon and sucked dry in another law of the commons tragedy. That seems overly gloomy to me.

I want to ask for thoughts about improving the world -- what do people need? How can things be organised?
