Yes, time in SL is like dog years. It puts the timeline out of synch with real life. The other day I was talking to someone who said, "You're even older than me - I don't see that too often." I'm not even FIVE - that's nothing - yet it has encompassed nearly the entire development of this world and so feels like forever in some strange way.
