I do miss it a lot now I'm not at Wa He Lut anymore: here's Blacklodge, who are mega-famous in Indian Country. One of the Scabby Robe boys is married to an old student of mine; we shared a space at Wa He Lut for a while when he was teaching culture. They were host drum at a couple of our pow wows.

They are very good, but there are thousands and thousands of drums and bazillions of pow wows from small to enormous. It's a curious thing that some people think the native cultures died out in North America. How wrong they are.
Indigenous peoples. There is something so connected to life in their music. This is like Hawaiian chant for me. It is like generations of my ancestors drumming/humming in my bones.
