At that time - back in 2005 for me - I was close to have visited every single sim!
Today its close to impossible!
If you count like this - 20 minutes for visiting each sim - have a fast look and then to next...
You will work on that 5 hours a day = 15 sims a day:-)
Then 5 days a week (you need some rest dont you?:-)) = 75 sims a week.
And what do we have now? 35.000 of them..
Bye bye see you in 2020 something?:-))

Yes, it would be impossible as some of the sims would be gone before you got there, and new ones would be added all the time so your task would be ever-expanding.
Sometimes I go randomly searching for interesting places, and I bop in and leave immediately if the place isn't interesting to me. I can't say I've ever discovered much that way, however.

I Can see my First House on the 2004 Map Yay! No colours of course :) the darker an object the longer it had been there with objects for sale in white. The days of B&W SL map!
What's even more amazing is that the current TSL map is smaller than the Main Grid 2004 map, with only around 203 as of December 1st,2008. It is really cool how Second Life has exploded with land. I can only hope that the OpenSpace increase doesn't kill off too many of those islands.
That IS amazing. How is TSL doing? I hear things that lead me to believe the answer is "not well," but is that true? I'd think it could be a great place - and I hope it is.
