I missed City of God when it came out, and didn't catch up with it until this evening. An excellent film, I found it nowhere near as stressful as I was warned it was. For the record I think the most stressful film I've seen is either Requium for a Dream or Andrei Rublev. Both can keep me awake if I think about them.

Have not seen Requiem for a Dream nor have I seen Andrei Rublev, having been warned off them by others. Thanks for being the guinea pig on City of God! I will get it now *knows she is a weenie*

Well, don't consider my judgement as applicable across the board. Andrei Rublev was a very good film, but for me there are a few scenes I am unhappy to have burned into my memory. I also tend to remember things forever, so there's no getting rid of input I regret.
