One Day
On islands avatars are now showing up in Top Scripts if they are scripted to the hilt. Not that I would've known as I am not an island person, but someone reported it on the forum. I think the avatar script limit, whenever it happens to roll into play, is going to make a big difference. I'm always scandalised when I see a screenshot that has two or three HUDs on it - and that's common now. I've never been a MystiTool user (or what was the earlier Swiss Army Knife attachment - forgotten) because I felt that it was killing SL.

I know "everyone" thinks it's an SL must-have - but it isn't. When we were at Spangle I used a radar HUD because I couldn't see people when they landed, but even that went by-the-by when the need disappeared.
From the comments on the forum post:
"I spotted this earlier today on one of our resident's sims whilst checking performance - seems I was taking up 0.315 ms!"
"Yeah mine was 0.460 ms. Time to remove some huds I think lol."
"I tested this and loaded all my huds lol 3.860 LOL."

Hard to have a simple flea circus when so many people are draped in laggy HUDs.

Waiting for AOs incorporated into the viewer or just better default anims, too.

Wish i understood all this better. I know about bling, invisiprims, etc turning down graphics...so huds, scripted shoes, AO's?, scripted hair, scripted skirt, etc, not good? Can this all be distilled down to like the Six Commandments so we can post it at the theatre or send it out with invites to audience? Assume they are as clueless as I am and just wear the stuff cause it's there?
Where is the meter that shows it?

The limits are coming; until then I don't thing shouting at people helps. I think it's any number things that might be contributing to our late run of borkified performances, after years of being able to muddle through in the deepest lag. Anyone remember The New Globe in 2006? Course we USED to have a sim crash if pressure built up that high; now the sim stays up but nothing works. I suppose that's it.

I have to admit I secretly liked sim crashes a wee bit, but they didn't happen every time by any means. I had everyone trained to log back in immediately and resume the show, which was fun.

Apparently we have to call in the Fun Police, as these avatars are having WAY too much fun with their outfits!

I want to ask for thoughts about improving the world -- what do people need? How can things be organised?
