The lake I lived on before this one had waterlilies. A next-door man would start up his outboard and use his little boat to chop them all down on his parcel. Instead of waterlilies he'd have browning, chopped up vegetable carnage that would flow all over.

Well, the outboard WAS much easier than doing it by hand. I had tried it the other way and it took ever so long.
