funny i just came from looking at a real device, cell or ipod size, you can wear around your neck or in pocket, which allows you to hear thru hearing aides if you wear them, ipod, cellphone, computer, airplane movie, dvd player, etc, some must be wired to the device some not, and hear sounds around you too, or not as you choose.
