Sounds like a ray of hope for a lot of people if the medical establishment will allow good sense to prevail. They give all sorts of drugs to people based upon the patients viewing of television pharmaceutical ads, so patient pressure may help move things along.
The medical/pharmaceutical companies here manipulate people so they can maximise their profits - that's why they make ads.
Go to any doctor waiting room and a procession of drug salesmen come out while you are waiting. It's big business and they are protective of that; treatments that wouldn't result in high profits are not developed.
