He has the representative of the door works coming to look at the non-matching door, as he says he paid $170 extra for the door to be matched to the existing woodwork, and as we all know there is complete, 100%, non-matchification going on with that door. The door man is supposed to come midday on the only decent day this week.

good!! - that picture of the 2 doors was very disturbing, altho i can see how you would just want them to stop carpentering and GO AWAY.
as for the weather, you still dint get all that hot weather i sent? i even picked out most of the black flies.

The upshot will likely be no change in the door, but a refund of part or all of the money spent on matching. At this point there's no solution to the non-matchiness that wouldn't involve sanding and restaining the door, which I sort of doubt will happen. Or at least, I can see my landlord doing it himself, but would rather he refrain until I don't live here anymore.
Now there's a war going on between Mr. Landlord/carpenters, and the door people, because the door has sagged a bit and has begun scraping. MrLL says the doorframe was not square, and the door man says the walls were not square. The carpenters knew the walls were off kilter but the hole they built for the door and its frame was square, I believe. I've built lots of loose boxes and stable interiors as well as rooves, and it's amazing to me that this costly process has resulted in such crap results. The door/frame by itself was $600 and is insanely ugly.
It was supposed to be nice today, but that has not manifested in this dimension. I don't put heat on as it's nearly June, however if Tiff comes over I will as it's rude to freeze one's guests.
