Variety WeatherUsually in August there's no weather - that is, it all looks like Thursday. I remember my brother looking at a weather report here and saying with great superiority, "In Australia there would be satellite pictures," which there would be here but not in a normal effing AUGUST with 30 days of Thursdays and absolutely nothing to show. However this year it's all wonky and it's been hard to sit outside on most days woithout feeling chilled. It's the start of the Candidian Ice Age for sure.*

In The Olden Dayes (the 60s and 70s), it was predicted that what we call greenhouse gases would cause more and more cloudiness, which would then lead to cooling, not warming. So far it is trapping heat, but you never know. There was some doomsday scifi novel that made that prediction, as I recall, but I cannot find it now.
