What I was trying to say is I do not believe any diseases have been CURED. A few have been eradicated by vaccination, but I do not know of any that can be "cured", for humans or cattle. Humans are still vulnerable to smallpox, although there are no cases; the same is true of polio. If someone contracts polio, there is no cure. Smallpox is being preserved in freezers for germ warfare, and since we are no longer vaccinating for it, it could ravage huge segments of the population as it used to.
