Burn After Reading
The Coens are hit or miss but even their misses are worth watching. Fine performances, a few very funny scenes.

that was a terrible, terrible movie. i'm beginning to think big lebowski was just a lucky fluke in their career
i liked it too! stupid but good.
did you see A Serious Man? ok so again not great cinema maybe but they always give you something to think about. i didn't realize until the next day what i had seen!

I dithered about adding it to my queue as it seemed dubious and I'm not a huge Coen fan, but I wouldn't say it was terrible, just a waste of resources. It was like someone grinding up the best cuts of meat to make sausages. The underlying idea was so slight that there was never a chance it would be great.
I have trouble finding films to order on DVD as everything good is "play now." I ordered The Tracker more or less by mistake as it made to the top without me noticing. I'd rather have unlimited "play now" and no DVDs.
as for the big L, the dude may abide, but i don't understand why a cult didn't develop around Marge (Fargo) - my hubby is a dudist, but i'd definitely be a margist.
this movie was bad, but it was just an empty shell. i hated fargo's guts though. come to think of it, it's the same actress in both movies isn't it? maybe it's all her fault
Fargo was kinda ... LIKE THE NORTH CENTRAL USA ... cold, boring, scary and unfriendly. (I come from thereabouts, so I oughta know.
