Molly sent me the link to this video just now.
The last time I saw the Aurora Borealis was one summer when I was staying at a house by the Pacific Ocean and had driven in to Olympia to attend a meeting. Driving back, late at night, I was caught by surprise when the sky erupted into shimmering waves of the Aurora Borealis. It wasn't as intense as in this video but was amazing nonetheless. I pulled off to the side of the road and watched.

I have never seen the northern lights. I have always wanted to. I remember one night when I was about 5. I was in bed and could hear my parents and some neighbors outside talking. The next morning I was told that they had all been outside to watch the northern lights. Apparently they didn't want to get me out of bed to come look. Thats the closest I have been to seeing them.
