It was a terrible, terrible day. It ranks with others that mark my spirit: January 30, 1948 -- MK Gandhi; November 22, 1963 -- JFK; April 4, 1968 -- MLK; June 5, 1968 -- RFK. In my mind all these assassinations are linked. But their deaths could not kill the spirit they embodied, even as Yoko said at the time of John's death.
