I can't process all the disasters and tragedies.

It is horrible and so huge. Even though we are so far away that sort of feels like a curse...not that I have anything to offer in terms of real help. I hope your family and friends remain safe.
Thank you - I meant it more as an inability to process the global disasters from the Qld and Brazilian floods, the Lebanon government collapsing, the Arizona shootings, earthquakes, blizzards, etc.
Ah... well then, think of it as an attempt to transfer some processing power. I suck at the Vulcan mind meld.
I read somewhere once that humans are not able to absorb news from the entire globe every day, and it sounded correct.
we don't even know about all the disasters.
you know that song? "it could of been me, but instead it was you, and it could be we dear brothers and sisters before we are through..."
i do so appreciate that i am not currently in any disaster!
and i believe in the power of internet hugs...*hugs you all hard*

It adds up to the same thing in most cases. I might watch a woman in Brazil being recued from the flood, but nothing I think or feel changes her plight. Of course, information spreading across the world can motivate forces of good, but it's so hard to know what "good" is, as is apparent in the theory of the book "The Crisis Caravan."
