I watched "A Prairie Home Companion." Sadly it wasn't good. It had a thousand good elements - performances, sets, costumes, casting - however the plot was entirely bizarre. Beyond bizarre. More like someone grafted a lunatic's imaginings onto a proper story... erm, well that's what it is, I suppose. I was filled with hope initially as one of the previews on the DVD was for The Agronomist, a film I love.

it was a bit disappointing. i saw the show in essex junction a few years ago & keillor said "vermont is the state with the highest per capita number of people made to listen to prairie home companion as children" i think it is true. so seeing the movie was more like seeing old friends try to put on a show :)
