OMG :( The female winklepicker is pining for the fjords, her egg has gone cold :((( Clothing Zoo Cowell (126, 67, 30) #sl
A WEEK LATER *snorts derisively*
Lucy: shoe birds
what's going on? the egg is not being sat on! one shoe is lying in bottom of cage!
Me:
The female winklepicker has died :((( the egg is cold. I'm searching for another mate and trying to distract him so I can remove the Dead however he is agitated and pecks me.
Lucy:
YIIIIII
that's terrible!!
how could you let this happen??
Me:
These things happen, but fortunately winklepickers don't mate for life. I rejected the offer of a young female flip flop from the clothing zoo in Fiji, as I hope for a mate that is more likely to be accepted and produce viable offspring. Although fecund flip flops crossed with winklepickers would seem likely to produce something horrid.
Lucy:
you are certainly callous about it.
this is my first exposure to these creatures and i was quite taken with their devotion and eager for the egg to hatch.
if we are going to be hard-hearted, tell me, how do the eggs taste if you take them when they are fresh?
Me:
Madame, although I understand your emotion I must point out that I'm a trained professional and have had, likely, more years rearing clothing than you have had hot dinners. Nothing is gained by handlers displaying their inner feelings; such can only upset the sensitive creatures. I apprenticed under the foremost clothing whisperer in the world, and I assure you he found neither my skills nor devotion lacking depth.
Yours, O. Therian
