As usual the techie talk is beyond my knowledge base, so I don't know if I could use the thing or not.
 

Well a laptop or a desktop with Thunderbolt could connect to this box into which graphics cards were installed. To me that means you can unlink the laptop when you want to travel, hook up when you need graphics power. Also a desktop could be independent of your best graphics cards, so it'd be easier to switch/upgrade. I always wonder why box computers may have quite good specs yet shitty cards - this'd mean you could buy one since power source/graphics cards are independent. But that's just my take on it, and I know nothing. Plus it's not relevent to me in my current degree of decrepitude, however I'm always interested in ideas.
