Italo Calvino is one of my fave fave fave writers, and there's currently an installation based loosely on Invisible Cities.



When I was married (onstage on a set for I Do, I Do by a radio disc jockey, with loads of live entertainment and to which everyone in the world was invited by my husband-to-be in a newspaper article) we wrote our own vows and mine contained a quote from one of Italo Calvino's books.

It's *sort of* too bad I can't scrape up a photo (wedding photographer was a newspaper photographer) but I BURNED THEM ALL after my divorce.
