The summer part of 2011 wasn't bad.
Overall I just slipped down in a big way, especially in the autumn.
Given my situation 2011 can only be worse as the rattletrap runaway wheeled conveyance picks up speed and zooms downhill to a big crash.
Good thing I'm brave.
Just spoke with Deborah and Richard, tried ringing Anji again but no answer, talked to SJ for a second, talked to Enj today and determined that I'd been calling the wrong number :-D

It's supposed to be a blue moon, an eclipse, and New Year's Eve all at one time:
"Once in a blue moon, as the saying goes, there are two full moons in a single calendar month, which NASA says actually happens every 2.5 years. A blue moon on New Year's Eve is much rarer, last happening in 1990. Even rarer, though, is the lunar eclipse that will accompany the blue moon."
Of course, I woke up this morning thinking it was 2010 for some reason (I TELL you I'm not calendar-based haha), so does it matter to me? Of course - because it's cool! Although I can't see the eclipse Luceh, Anj, Karuna, and others I know are at least at the edge of the viewing region, so maybe they'll see it.

New Year's Eve
After partying with Elf Circle for a bit Salazar teleported me (and Armath, who had turned up unexpectedly, much to my delight) to the party at Voss with

Komuso Tokugawa, who rocked the house with live blues. It was GREAT seeing Salazar, who has been too much a stranger lately.I think last year I spent NYE at Ida and Theo's, with Enj, and Tedd, who turned up unexpectedly, much to my delight. Wait... is that a trend?
Here's to 2008 in Second Life - a return to community, and healthy development by individuals and businesses committed to the long haul.

Welcome, 2007!
We are standing on Ida and Theo's roof watching the fireworks. Enjah is in her Barbara avatar wearing the jacket I made today for her. Tedd dropped in, which was great.

The sounds and colors of the fireworks were great. Deb and Richard rang me after their New Year's Eve and Richard said 2007 HAD ALL BEEN GOOD THUS FAR therefore proving what a great year it will be.

Theo the firecracker master at work.

News from New York
such as it is
Hi V - It was in the fifties here for Mon + Tues. but the after dark was cold!! Mon we went on a harbor cruise and saw Ellis Is and the Statue of Liberty at sunset. Tues we went to Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas show and then did the NBC Studio tour. E didn't bring the camera on Mon but I got a couple of shots on Tuesday. Of course, when we didn't have the camera the buses took ages to arrive. With the camera they were right there!! I wanted to take a shot of E with the lights of Times Sq behind but we didn't want to wait for another bus. I'll see if Lenny can upload and send you what I got. I took one w/ Radio City and at the Macy's window but I haven't checked how they came out. I had trouble with the lens cover not being completely (!) back. So far so good. We are staying home today - it's a mad house out there for the last 2 days - it's got to be worse now. Maybe Thurs or Fri we'll try for more pix and some when people are here.
Luv - D + R + Lenny + Karen
