If we don't live test prototypes or tech ideas we a. don't find out what may work and b. miss out on the happy accident of screwing around with shit to see what happens and where it may lead;-)

This video test (a smaller moulded cyborg attachment would be better) has given me the best "feel" so far in terms of adding an extra element to the audience/performer feedback loop with video.

is this where he performs in SL and is shown in realtime RL on a screen? i was at one of those on the weekend, it wasn't komuso...couldn't see the point of it...why bother to have an avi in SL if you are just going to show a cam of you performing in RL? gives me more of that creepy feeling of SL becoming facebook

Hah! How funny! I like this combination thing. But then I am transparent in SL. I want both, and I like what he did with it, putting the video on his avatar! I like SL and RL intermingling. I got tired of Facebook because it did not provide any creative outlet. This is very creative use of these media in my opinion.

Yes, Kom in rl on his chest in SL. It's just too easy to pass up with Shared Media, and people who like to be onstage will hardly be inclined to turn down the chance to be onstage twice at one time ;-D

It was fun, and will wind up being something people choose to play or choose not to play, as they prefer. It's another possibility :-D

Shared media is awfully nice.
