Apparently most people don't really care for a world in which the inhabitants are exploring, building, working and enjoying life. Slaughtering, mayhem and looting are more exciting. Oh, right, we don't get enough mayhem from the news, TV and movies. We need to be participants, without having to risk actual loss of limbs or life.

That's nonsense. Most people don't care because Glitch is boring as hell. Milking butterflies or something is cute for 10 minutes but there was nothing interesting to DO there.

They added a TON of stuff since I last saw you there, but what you say is not wrong even so. I'd love to be able to play on a tablet. I think if it were tablet-able it'd be great fun for idle moments. When I'm on my desktop I'd rather do something that requires its power as these days my time is very limited. One thing you are leaving out, though, is that other games with monsters and fighting are equally boring. It's all just make-work and leveling for no reason other than it taps in to a manipulatable human quality.

Things I enjoy about Glitch: exploring, the verbal wittiness, the visual playfulness, decorating my house and tower, dressing up, community. It is a bit like having a doll house with a hundred friends who all have doll houses too.
