As we all know if I ruled the world I'd have designated riflemen near all zoos whose sole directive would be to shoot all the hyenas in the case of any emergency. I've always been grateful I haven't lived in either hyena country or, more trivially, in bedbug country. Now, however, bedbugs are on the rise and it seems in ancient times 450 lb hyenas lived in England. ZOMG :(
If I ruled the world all the hyenas in captivity would be spayed/neutered. And there would be designated hyena-shooters.

I believe every place with a zoo or other type of hyena population should have a designated group of people with guns whose task it is, once society has failed and the power grid has gone down, to kill the hyenas. That should be concern number one.
Potential blockbuster movie plot:
Zombies attack, people hide in a zoo, and after numerous close calls and scary whatsits make a trap that lures the zombies into the hyena pen, and a gigundo hyena/zombie fight ensues, which the hyenas win. Then something horrifying like zombie hyenas happens.

Os wins the custom tournament at Spaceport.
Longest fight ever as Mich used Skeleton Crew numerous times. I'd get him down to 6 health points and he'd use SCrew to add 15 on - and I just kept slogging away at him. We kept using discard attacks and were both reduced to no playable cards a couple of times. I had to draw five times in a row to get something to play, and just won by the skin of my teeth.
Mich is becoming interested in video and I'm encouraging him to do in depth card analysis. That would be very useful for difficult cards, as he could show a card as used in several matches and explain why it is effective at times and not others.

The coyotes are rather noisy and active in the spring and summer, but this morning (late! It was 9!) they were very loud and just went on and on. If you haven't heard coyotes they sound like the very demons from Hell's Mouth. The yippingly strangled shrieks and responses echo hauntingly and make them sound very awful indeed although they aren't bad at all. They sound like they could be hyenas, but thank g'al they are not anything like those creatures. I am overjoyed every day of my life not to live near hyenas. I believe* that Mankind's expansion to cover much of the globe happened because people were trying to get well away from hyenas and I would've done precisely the same thing.

*I was thinking yesterday that I believe nothing/believe everything. I keep experimenting to figure out what I believe in and think positively but it has been draining away this week. I'm reminded of my friend Hel Hel, who believed that once you die that's it. She died - I don't know if that was it. I find the concept of nothing a burden, sadly. However since I believe in all somethings as well as nothing, I'll just wait for the wheel to turn a bit.
